This new pandemic phased of life has left us all locked in our homes. Spending all of our time there, makes us frustrated. A day or two of work from home is great but as days roll by it gets mundane. Additionally, Working women are expected to do office work and household chores. Finding motivation and balance is hard and tiresome.

As a woman, our jobs are endless, and getting time for self-love and self-care is just impossible! Even if you are not a working woman, taking out personal time is an non existent notion. Here is where I come in – Here are some top tips to find the peace you need !

The Restful Lullaby

One of the best and easiest ways to calm your mind is music. Listening to your favorite songs with closed eyes will take you to some other world. It allows us a retreat to a world of our own imagination. A night of good sleep is very important for a stress-free life so just put on your headphones and play your favorite song before sleeping. It will definitely ease the stress and send you into a sound sleep ! Don’t try to run grocery lists and other lists just before you sleep it just gets the brain working hard again !

Foodie Goodie

Food is the first love for most of us ! There is a saying “insan ke dil ka rasta uske pet se hoke jaata hai! So without any delay just order your favorite food and watch your favorite movie. Often times as women we often are forced to eat what we make. Hence, its okay to try new cuisines every week. Try using Zomato or Swiggy to get the best deals ! If you are abroad watch for deals on GrubHub and Uber Eats.

Weekends The Right Way

There is a reason why its called week– end ! Once your week ends its time to get out the party poppers ! Sadly, as women weekends often mean the end of our professional week but not our chores. This does not allow our bodies and minds to take rest. Even for us housewives, weekends actually translate into more work. However, its time to take control. Choose to order from out. Take a day off the chores, allow yourself a date night or sleep in. Change up your routine. Opt for brunches on sundays and ask family to take up small chores around the house.

Routine & Meditation

Distribute your work with your family members so that the whole work pressure of your home is not on you.

Make a routine of meditating at least for 20 min daily. This will allow your body and mind to rest up ! Mediation allows our bodies and minds to reset. You can choose to do this in the morning or night. I have seen women washing utensils and singing a song or even listening to a meditation podcast.

Hobbies

You loved to paint ? Or was it sing , or dance ! Whatever you grew up loving needs to come back into you life. By engaging in an activity it allows our minds to move away and become creative. It also enhances relaxation. If you do not have a hobby opting for painting can be a great way to relax. Hobbies sure can be hard to maintain what with your hands being full. But pushing for half and hour everyday will allow you a chance to be free again !
